Nashville

We left the Keys on 4/20 after 5 months and a few days. Loved it, and plan to return there next November for another 5 months. But that was long enough to be in one place, and we were ready for new adventures. So we drove as far as Ft. Myers to see our buddy Sammy; had dinner and caught up. It was great to see him, and he's doing awesome.
Went to Talladega, AL from there for the NASCAR race, and actually had a good time. We got there on Tuesday, a bit early, because you couldn't reserve a campsite without tickets, and didn't want to buy tickets ahead of time and maybe not get camping, so we rubbed elbows with several hundred thousand rednecks for way too many days! They were actually quite friendly, and we felt safe while we were there, but they were a bit difficult to understand! One man was angry with Bob because he offered a full rack of ribs (leftover) to Waylon, and Bob told him our dog doesn't get people food. The redneck whipped the rack of ribs and stormed off! Far as we know, that's the only person we pissed off! Wow, they're a whole different breed!
We left Talladega and stoped in down the road at the Barber Motorsports Museum. WOW,... tons of cool motorcycles. We're now in Nashville for a couple days, and it's cold here! Got into the 30's last night:( We haven't seen that in over a year!!!Waylon's doing pretty well. We've discovered that if we run him (on the bike or jogging) twice a day, he's very well behaved. But if we miss either of those outings he's a monkey. He's accepted Bob as the pack leader, but he's still challenging me on a daily basis. But a great little traveller which we're very happy about. It's on to Elkhart, IN from here to get the camper worked on, then home for a while. Looking forward to seeing everyone...we don't know when we'll get there, or how long we'll be home. With fuel prices, don't know how feasible the travelling is going to be...
