Yes, it has been a while. We've been adjusting to life without Cheyenne. And had lots of company in Feb/March.

Mark's new puppy, Ginger is his best friend...they play pretty hard a couple times a day and are really going to miss each other soon.

After Chuck, Ken & Maria Seif & girls spent a week with us. Waylon especially enjoyed Emily & Victoria!

Then Mike & Christine were here for a long weekend, and finally Jorie spent a week with us.

We had a blast with all of them, and now it's so quiet. Dan & Bev (from IL) left last week, and the motel is empty again. So we've finally finished remodeling the apartment here, and are getting ready to take on one more room damaged by the hurricane. That one should be a cake walk after the last one! (The apartment took us the better part of 2 months...we insulated, drywalled, plastered, sanded, scraped linoleum off the floor, filled holes in the floor, painted the walls, ceiling and floor, installed kitchen cabinets and countertop, and recauked the bathroom.)

The next one is just insulation, drywall, plaster, paint and carpeting. And only one room.Through all this the weather continues to be gorgeous. Although this morning we woke up to high winds and only 60 degrees! A cold snap. Now it's up to 79, still a bit windy, but sunny.

A few weeks ago we went to Miami by boat to deliver a boat for Mark's friend, Dale. It took most of the day, but was a pretty cool trip. Miami was a bit of culture shock after being in the Keys for 4 months, so we were anxious to get out of there!

And we also had a manatee swim up to our dock a couple weeks ago. She was about 10' long and had 2 calfs with her. They were the first we've seen, so it was pretty exciting. Also attached is a picture of a spotted eagle stingray, very similar to the one that collided with the lady from Michigan and killed her. We saw that on CNN, just after it happened...what a freak accident. And so sad.We plan to leave here about 4/23 and head for Talledega for the nascar race:) We're about ready to leave. It's gotten a bit monotonous, and we're ready for new adventures. We will be back here next year for another 5-6 months. But we should be home for the month of June. Looking forward to that...it seems we've been gone for a very long time. Valentine's Day was one year since we sold the shop! Time does fly...
